Swiss Chard

Date

This is an amazingly versatile vegetable, but it seems to scare people the most. My family grew this as a kid often instead of spinach and so to me it brings those childhood memories coming back. We grow different varieties of chard, sometimes your stems will be pink, red, yellow, or green! It really is such a fun veggie.
While it is used often in Asian cuisine, you can think of it just like spinach. Don’t hesitate to throw it in soups, eggs, saute it as a side, or make a fresh salad with it.
