We raise Red Wattle, and Red Wattle X Duroc hogs on our farm. This hog breed is on the brink of extinction, but the good news is that raising (and eating) them for meat will preserve their high-quality genetics for the future. Our hogs are given the best life, with room to roam, dirt to make wallows in, and good old sunshine. Our hogs are never confined, not even for farrowing (pig for giving birth). They are fed a high-quality and diversified diet, which translates to health for them, and nutrient dense protein for you. 

This heritage cross maintains it’s created qualities of dark red meat with marbling throughout. It is sought after all over the country by chefs for it’s clean, sweet profile. We strive to make this meat attainable by the average family who will not be disappointed, only spoiled, by it’s high quality. These hog also produce a nice amount of lard, which we highly recommend using as a staple kitchen fat. 

After growing and eating our own Red Wattle hogs our children have grown accustomed to the fine flavor and excellent eating of this meat and have all vowed to never eat a standard breed hog that was raised conventionally again.

We have 5 pigs available for butchering in March.

 

$200 RESERVES your hog, but does not cover the full cost of the hog (determined by weight at sale) or the cost of processing your pork. Please contact us for more information.
